Amelia M. Studenka, age 92, of Delta, Ohio, entered through the gates of heaven and was reunited with her husband, Emil, Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was born February 9, 1922 in Rossford, Ohio to the late Tony and Johanna (Chabron) Soviar. Amelia was a 1939 graduate of Rossford High School. On November 9, 1945 she married Emil J. Studenka. During WWII, Amelia worked at the propeller plant. After the war, she helped her husband work the family farm while raising her two children.
Amelia was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption. She loved polka dancing, gardening, and cooking.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Edward M. Studenka of Swanton, OH; daughter, Susan (Dwight) Leininger of Wauseon, OH; grandchildren, Stefanie (Todd) DeShetter, Shawn (Karen) Leininger, Nicole (Bill) Roth, Emily (Aaron) Lajiness, and Keith (Jana) Leininger; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Borkowski of Sun City, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; brother, Edward; and sisters, Johanne and Mary.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, April 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, Ohio. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Monday, April 7th from 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass. Fr. Michael Dandurand will preside. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mass of Resurrection: Monday, April 7th at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass
