Alice Marie Smallman

Alice Marie Smallman, age 62, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully, late Saturday afternoon, April 8, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Alice was born October 24, 1960 in Morenci, Michigan to Lyle and Florence (Johnson) Salsberry. Alice was a 1979 graduate of Evergreen High School, and married her loving husband, Dennis Smallman on April 12, 1980.

Alice loved the outdoors and all it had to offer, whether she was camping, hiking, biking or kayaking, Alice loved it all! Some of her most cherished moments were spent out west and the Great Smoky Mountains. She also enjoyed writing and gardening in her flower beds. After being a Jazzercise instructor for many years, she worked 26 years as the officer manager at YES FM Christian radio station. After retirement, she worked at the Fulton County Senior Center. She was also passionate about ministering to other cancer patients and touched many lives through her outreach. Alice was greatly loved by her family and very active in her grandchildrens' lives.

Left to cherish Alice's memory is her husband, Dennis; mother, Florence; children, Eric and Jeremy (Jessica) Smallman; grandchildren, Cole, Levi, Brielle and Tillie; siblings, LaRay (Nancy), Wilford (Judy) and Doyle (Diana) Salsberry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Alice will be private. Interment will follow at Dutch Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
