Alberta A. Haupricht, age 87 of Lyons, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Thursday morning, June 8, 2017, with her family at her bedside, at the Fulton County Health Center. She was born August 29, 1929 in Amboy Township to Alidor and Tena (Dierkens) Van Coppenolle. Alberta was raised in Metamora and was a 1947 graduate of Metamora High School. She married Richard Derby and he preceded her in death. She married Art Haupricht, who also preceded her in death.
Alberta retired in 1995 from McCord Corporation in Wauseon. She lived an active lifestyle up until recent. She and her husband, Art, raised and sold produce for years and she loved gardening. Alberta was a Nascar fan and loved listening to Elvis Presley music.
Alberta will be greatly missed by her children, Michael Derby, Jean (James) Miller and Robert (Shelby) Derby; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joanne Burroughs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands, Alberta was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, June 11th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora (419.644.3601). A Mass of Resurrection will be held Monday, June 12th at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where visitation will be one hour prior. Father Michael Dandurand will preside. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Lyons.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
