Alan Charles Kreuz, age 48, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. He was born December 5, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joycemarie (Brick) and Charles Kreuz. Alan enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all, he loved the land; working most of his life as a farmer at the family business, C.J. Brick Greenhouse.

He is survived by his mother, Joycemarie Brick; father, Charles (Judy) Kreuz; son, Jacob Alan Miller; sister, Sara (Charles) Sturt; nephews, Adam and Jared Sturt; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Jacob Kreuz; brother, Andrew Joseph Kreuz; grandparents, Helen (Fauble) and Cyril Brick, and Leona (Meiring) and Lawrence Kreuz.

Family and friends may visit Friday, July 2nd from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church at Marygrove on Raab Road, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ron Schock officiating. Interment will follow at Marygrove Cemetery.
