Aiden William Beck passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms and surrounded by family, in the early morning hours on May 13, 2010 at St. Vincent‘s. He was a real trooper and fought a good fight against his disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Aiden has touched so many lives at the tender age of 15 months and has acquired quite a few girlfriends by flashing those baby blue eyes and grinning his heart warming smile. Baby Beck loved watching sports, Baby Einstein and movies with his mommy, daddy, and two furry companions Riley and Bentley.

Aiden was born on February 1, 2009 at Flower Hospital to his parents Sarah Saul and Jeffery Beck, and will be dearly missed by them and his grandparents, Tammy Saul, Wayne Saul, Laura and Don Mossing, and Terry Beck. He is survived by great-grandparents, Doug and Beverly Schmitz, Diane Crosby, Margaret Cole, Bill and Gerry Hoffman, and Charles (Bud) Mossing; great-great-grandparents, Allyn Schmitz, Richard and Mabel Bromley, Howard and Marlene Saul, and Busha and Leo McClusky.

Aiden had a very large and extensive family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be missed by all especially his Aunt, Melanie Saul, best friend/cousin Lexi, and Uncle Grant (Uncle Buck) Saul.

Aiden was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Richard Cole; great-grandmother, Jo Ann Mossing; great-great-grandmother, Lillis Schmitz; and great-great grandparents, George and Lillian Campbell, and Richard and Irene Champion.

Jeff and Sarah would like to give thanks to all the staff and Dr. Wong at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Maxium Home Health Care and a very special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent’s, especially Dr. Otis, Dr. Reddy, nurses Renee Wetz, Dannelle Sutton and Penny McCarney.

Friends and family may visit Saturday, May 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St. in Swanton. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Barbara Jean Pope officiating. Burial will be private.
